A True Cosmopolitan ~ Interview with Sloane Taylor

Monday, August 31st, 2009

Sloane Taylor is my next vic…er I mean guest on my interview blog today.  Sloane is a well-traveled soul who sets her stories in European cities.  Sloane seems especially fond of France and Germany.  Please welcome Ms. Sloane Taylor!Photo Op

1) What is your writing name and where are you from? Sloane Taylor. I’m originally from Chicago, and now live in Highland, Indiana.

 2) How long have you been seriously writing?
It still amazes me, but it’s only four short years.

3) How many hours a day do you spend working on your stories?
I strive for 6 hours a day 5 days a week at the keyboard. Tough to maintain that schedule when the doggone things continue to leap around in my brain at the oddest times and demand to be written out.

4) What is your self-editing process?
I developed a really bad habit from day one. I edit as I go. Bad because I can get hung up on an incorrect word and can’t move on until it’s right.

5) What was the best piece of advice you were given in regards to your writing?
Writing is a business and treat it as such. There’s no room for thin skin and never will be.

6) What’s your favorite genre to write in? Why?
Hands down, erotica. I love it. Erotica allows my imagination to put on paper all those things I’d really like to do.:)
