It is a mystery, but I think one of the biggest falacies out there is that writing is easy.

Part of writing is easy (the part where you get the great ideas and can’t type fast enough) and part of it is very hard work (you do have to sit down and actually WRITE and REWRITE and give your baby to someone else to look at). It takes a lot of dedication to get a completed story onto the page, and even more to go back through it when someone tells you that you need to fix things. (more…)
